Carte School LEED for Home Faculty Residences, Carpinteria
The Cate School is dedicated to sustainability. They recently completed five new faculty residences that are on track to be LEED for Homes Platinum certified. In partnership with Hartigan/Foley general building contractor and Michael Heacock, LEED consultant, we provided LEED H consulting services, and LEED H, Title 24, and Energy Star testing to help them achieve their rating.

Palm Street Remodel, San Luis Obispo
As a builder, we are in the process of doing a gut remodel of a studio apartment in San Luis Obispo. Designed as an extremely energy-efficient remodel, this project will be Green Point Rated and certified as a LEED for Homes and Energy Star project. Some notable features include passive solar design, hot water and radiant heat powered by a tankless hot water heater and solar collector combination, extremely energy-efficient appliances and fixtures, very high levels of insulation, and interior finishes and materials that maximize air quality.

Linden Residence, Arroyo Grande
Developer Matthew Linden, owner of ConsciousBuild, Inc., asked us to Green Point Rate his custom home in Arroyo Grande. Currently under construction, this residence features environmentally sensitive siting and landscaping, optimized engineered structural framing, high levels of insulation, solar hot water and electricity, and interior finishes and materials that maximize air quality.

The Lofts on Laurel
The Lofts on Laurel has seven single-family condominiums that just recently went on the market. This residential development in the heart of San Luis Obispo offers two energy-efficient, green floor plans. Each unit has two bedrooms, loft, fireplace and two-car garage. Home Energy Services has been retained to Green Point Rate this exciting, architecturally innovative project.
