Steve Mann, owner of Home Energy Services, is headquartered in San Luis Obispo. He has been involved in the construction business for more than 20 years and possesses a strong knowledge of sustainable building practices. His specialty as a builder is residential gut renovations and small additions, with completed projects from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo. His focus is now aimed at assisting architects, contractors, developers, and homeowners with Sustainable Design and Construction practices.

Steve is a LEED Accredited Professional, Build It Green-certified Green Building Professional, CABEC-certified Energy Plans Examiner, USGBC LEED for Homes Representative and Rater, a Build It Green-certified Green Point Rater, a CalCERTS and CHEERS-certified HERS Rater, and a RESNET-certified Green Rater. He is a graduate of the Sonoma State Green Building Program, earned his Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, and his MBA in Accounting from Golden Gate University. Steve is also a regular contributor to Home Energy magazine.
